What is Housing Discrimination?
The law states it is illegal to make decisions about housing in relation to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, marital status, children, or age. Housing discrimination takes place when sellers or renters choose who to rent an apartment or sell a house to, based on these illegal reasons. However, the law does not always apply the same in all housing situations.
