Mine Inspections
The Safety Bureau, under Montana Public Law 50-73-101 MCA (The Montana Coal Mine Safety Act) is responsible for workplace safety and health compliance in underground and surface coal mines. The bureau also inspects sand and gravel operations.
Mine Training

Under a grant from MSHA, the Safety Bureau will provide, at an employer's request, various required mine training. New miner, refresher, first aid and CPR training courses are available, among others. Contact the bureau at (406) 444-6401 for further information. |
